Recital Is Here

We were just praying together as a CDTS staff on the evening before our family and Justin Hanson fly as an advance team to South Africa. The remainder of our team will be joining us on the 24th and 25th of June. As Tara prayed she brought out the image of being a little girl in dance school. All year long you practice and practice in preparation for the recital. You want to have everything perfect for that day, representing yourself and your dancing coach well.

As followers of Christ we have been preparing for recital, our outreach to South Africa, and we want to represent Jesus well in that place. To be sure, as Christians every day is recital, because we represent our Lord and Savior 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, but God also knows our human frames and gives us the grace of preparation time – if only we will seek Him in faith and receive it.

For everyone praying, we will be flying from Birmingham, England on Tuesday, June 17th, at 9:30 p.m. England time, which is 3:30 p.m. CST in the United States. We arrive in Dubai around 3:30 a.m. on June 18th, and will fly on to Cape Town, arriving there the early evening of the 18th. We have about 18 hours of flying time, including our layover in Dubai. Pray for safe and easy travels, especially for our three children, for the unity of our team, and for the effectiveness of our ministry in South Africa.
