Overcomplicating Simplicity

“I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” Luke 18:17.

Why do we complicate the simple? Why is it we struggle so much with whether we are called into or gifted in evangelism or missions? We aren’t called into evangelism or missions; we are commissioned into evangelism and missions.

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20.

To whom is Jesus speaking? His followers.

Are you His follower?

Do you need an entire commentary to explain what Jesus meant when He commanded this and commissioned His followers?

So what gives?
