Our time here in England has exceeded our expectations.  We continue to learn how absolutely irrational it is to doubt the character of God.  He is absolutely loving, faithful, kind, generous, forgiving and so much more.  We see more and more every day what a loving dad He is to us, His children.  Thank you so much for your sacrifice and being a part of us fulfilling God’s call on our lives.

We are already in our fourth week of classes.  We have been learning about following Him wholeheartedly, hearing His voice, knowing Him intimately, what idolatry is, sin, the cross and forgiveness, and, now, this week we are beginning to talk about the impact of sin on our lives and the spiritual war we face.  Each of our lecturers have been phenomenal, most of whom have served as missionaries for over 15 years, some as many as 37 years.

PRAISE!  God provided a family of 15 (you read that right) to fill and rent our home for the entire time we will be gone.  Also, Reid and Michelle McCarty, dear friends and supporters, will be joining us with their three children in the Philippines! (It is not too late for you to join in the outreach the first weeks of July!  Have you prayed about this? The cost is $8 per day once you get there.) Please include them in your prayers!

PRAYER REQUESTS:  First, we have learned that the island of Mindanao in the Philippines has been placed on a list of places Americans are warned against visiting because of terroristic activities.  Please pray that nothing will prevent us from being able to go and that we would not let fear have any place in our hearts.  Second, pray for us as well as for yourselves that God would reveal the aspect of His character that you most need to see to address your greatest need right now.  Third, pray for Tanner and Keaton, because they are facing some new challenges being in a public school here.  They haven’t been readily accepted by their classmates and they are learning new things and new words they knew nothing of before coming here.  Fourth, please pray that the boys will develop a friendship with someone who will be encouraging and edifying for them.  Finally, please pray that God will tear down any strongholds in our lives that we allow to keep us from reaching our greatest potential for His glory.  2 Corinthians 10:4-5.

We are enclosing a return envelope for your convenience.  Some of you may give electronically and not need the envelope.  If you’d like, use it to send us prayer requests or a note of encouragement or pass it on to someone else or send something to the address below.  We love getting email and letters and are so grateful for your prayers.  Don’t forget you can read regular updates and things recently learned at our blog.

God bless and we love you,
