Tara asked me yesterday if I had begun working on our letter and I couldn’t believe that another month was about to begin.  It seems we wake up in the morning, work, study, pray, breathe, teach our children, and find our heads hitting the pillows around midnight.  It is good we don’t have to think about things like brushing our teeth and lying down at night because otherwise we might forget.

We are learning that our faith and prayer life can be like that, too.  Automatic.  One is not burdened with many purposeful acts such as eating, drinking, lying down, getting up, brushing one’s teeth; likewise, living as a follower of Jesus can be the same.  We can pray, repent, choose to love, LIVE ABUNDANTLY automatically because we are filled with the Holy Spirit and are forever changed through the amazing work of Jesus at the cross.  Why do we overcomplicate what is simple?   “I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

We have seen so many miracles through your and our obedience to God’s direction in our lives.  In fact, God blessing you to bless us with your spiritual and financial support has been multiplied into 11 more missionaries going into the mission field.  James and Krissy Dunn, a physician and an educator and fellow supporters, and their four children are preparing even now to leave for New Zealand to attend a Discipleship Training School there and begin taking the gospel around the world.  We cannot wait to see Reid and Michelle McCarty, also supporters, and their three children join us in the Philippines for 2 weeks.  Moreover, because of your generosity, we have also been able to bless several others here who did not have enough financial support to go to the Philippines.  Celebrate with us at seeing God’s gifts multiplied mightily!!!!

PRAYER REQUESTS:  Please continue to pray that nothing will prevent us from being able to go to Mindanao and that we would not let fear have any place in our hearts.  Second, pray for Tanner because he has been quite sick ever since receiving a vaccination.  Third, pray for all the children on the base because a terrible incident occurred here with at least two of the children and it has threatened the peace of their parents, has caused us to be anxious at times for the safety of our own children, and it simply is a spiritual attack against the work being done here and the work to be done in the Philippines.  Fourth, pray for the Dunns and for the McCartys as they are going and for our entire CDTS team to Mindanao.  Finally, please continue praying God will tear down any strongholds in our lives that we allow to keep us from reaching our greatest potential for His glory.  2 Corinthians 10:4-5.  I’d also suggest you do the same for yourself.
