Our time here in England has exceeded our expectations. We continue to learn how absolutely irrational it is to doubt the character of God. He is absolutely loving, faithful, kind, generous, forgiving and so much more. We see more and more every day what a loving dad He is to us, His children. Thank you so much for your sacrifice and being a part of us fulfilling God’s call on our lives. We are already in our fourth week of classes. We have been learning about following Him wholeheartedly, hearing His voice, knowing Him intimately, what idolatry is, sin, the cross and forgiveness, and, now, this week we are beginning to talk about the impact of sin on our lives and the spiritual war we face. Each of our lecturers have been phenomenal, most of whom have served as missionaries for over 15 years, some as many as 37 years. PRAISE! God provided a family of 15 (you read that right) to fill and rent our home for the entire time we will be gone. Also, Reid and Michelle McCarty, dear friends and supporters, will be joining us with their three children in the Philippines! (It is not too late for you to join in the outreach the first weeks of July! Have you prayed about this? The cost is $8 per day once you get there.) Please include them in your prayers! PRAYER REQUESTS: First, we have learned that the island of Mindanao in the Philippines has been placed on a list of places Americans are warned against visiting because of terroristic activities. Please pray that nothing will prevent us from being able to go and that we would not let fear have any place in our hearts. Second, pray for us as well as for yourselves that God would reveal the aspect of His character that you most need to see to address your greatest need right now. Third, pray for Tanner and Keaton, because they are facing some new challenges being in a public school here. They haven’t been readily accepted by their classmates and they are learning new things and new words they knew nothing of before coming here. Fourth, please pray that the boys will develop a friendship with someone who will be encouraging and edifying for them. Finally, please pray that God will tear down any strongholds in our lives that we allow to keep us from reaching our greatest potential for His glory. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5. We are enclosing a return envelope for your convenience. Some of you may give electronically and not need the envelope. If you’d like, use it to send us prayer requests or a note of encouragement or pass it on to someone else or send something to the address below. We love getting email and letters and are so grateful for your prayers. Don’t forget you can read regular updates and things recently learned at our blog. God bless and we love you, Bryan & Tara Riley (currently at) The King’s Lodge Watling Street Nuneaton, Warks. CV10 OTZ England |

As you may know, the Riley family packed up and left the United States to
go to the King's Lodge , a YWAM training base, in Nuneaton, England . The
Crossroad Discipleship Training School (CDTS) in which we are participating is amazing
and overwhelming. It seems we are in class from sunrise to past sundown,
learning about who God is, His nature and character, His desire for intimacy
with us, how He speaks to us, hearing His voice, and how to pray. These are
just a few of the things we have been discussing in the past two weeks. We have
joined 18 other students in our CDTS, from 7 other countries, and several staff
leaders who add a couple of additional countries to the mix.

Our Beliefs as Ambassadors for Christ |

Q. You say you are ambassadors for Christ. What are some of your basic beliefs?A. We will try to stay with some very basic statements of our faith and not hit every important issue. What follows summarizes our beliefs regarding God, His word, salvation/regeneration, and Christian conduct. We borrowed heavily from the statement of faith provided by the church where John Piper is pastor.
I. GOD THE FATHER
We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. We believe that He infallibly foreknows all that shall come to pass, that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. Luke 10:21,22; Matthew 23:9; John 3:16; 6:27; Romans 1:7; I Timothy 1:1,2; 2:5,6; I Peter 1:3; Revelation 1:6
II. JESUS CHRIST
We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and personal visible return to earth. Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-38; John 1:1; 20:28; Romans 9:5; 8:46; II Corinthians 5:21; I Peter 2:21-23; John 20:30, 31; Matthew 20:28; Ephesians 1:4; Acts 1:11; Romans 5:6-8; 6:9,10; Hebrews 7:25; Hebrews 9:28; I Timothy 3:16
III. THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ, and that He is an abiding helper, teacher and guide. John 14:16,17,26; 15:26,27; John 16:9-14; Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 3:16; 6:19; Galatians 5:22-26
IV. THE WORD OF GOD
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20,21; Mark 13:31; John 8:31,32; John 20:31; Acts 20:32
V. THE TRINITY
We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three person; that these are equal in every divine perfection, and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence and redemption. Genesis 1:1,26; John 1:1,3; Matthew 28:19; John 4:24; Romans 1:19,20; Ephesians 4:5,6
VI. REGENERATION
We believe that humankind was created by God in God’s image; that man and woman sinned and thereby incurred physical, spiritual and eternal death, which is separation from God; that as a consequence, all human beings are born with a sinful nature, choose sin, and are under condemnation. We believe that those who repent and forsake sin and trust Jesus Christ as Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and become new creatures, delivered from condemnation and receive eternal life. Genesis. 1:26; 5:2; Genesis 3; Genesis 2:17; 3:19; Eccl. 2:11; John 3:14; 5:24; John 5:30; 7:13; 8:12; 10:26; Romans 9:22; II Thessalonians 1:9; Rev. 19:3,20; 20:10;14,15; 21:18; Psalm 51:7; Jeremiah 17:9; James 1:14; Romans 3:19; 5:19; Proverbs 28:13; I John 1:9; John 3:16; John 1:13; II Corinthians 5:17; Romans 8:15-8:45
Moreover, we believe “it is by grace [we are] saved, through faith—and this not from [ourselves], it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:8-10. We also cling to the fact that “if [we] confess with [our] mouth[s], "Jesus is Lord," and believe in [our] heart[s] that God raised him from the dead, [we] will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame." For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:9-13.
VII. CHRISTIAN CONDUCT
We believe that a Christian should live for the glory of God and the well-being of his fellow men; that his conduct should be blameless before the world; that he should be a faithful steward of his possessions; and that he should seek to realize for himself and others the full stature of maturity in Christ. I Corinthians 10:31; Romans 12:1-3; Hebrews 12:1-2; John 14:15,23-24; I John 2:3-6; II Corinthians 9:6-9; I Corinthians 4:2; Col. 1:9-10; Colossians 1:28-29
Q. How did you become a Christian?A. Bryan: When I was 9 years old I was struggling very much with life. My parents were going through difficult times in their marriage and economically. We had moved from Arkansas to Florida and had experienced the death of my mom’s dad and were anticipating the death of my dad’s dad. We had lost practically everything financially and my dad was working quite a bit. As a result, I was pretty scared and pretty lonely. One night, my 16 year old brother shared with me this: Although dad’s not around much right now and we’ve been through a lot, there really is a God who wants to be your heavenly daddy. For a scared 9-year old that was just the word from God I needed. I believed. He showed me the “Romans Road” and I prayed with Bobby then and there to accept Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of my life. Romans 3:23; 6:23; 5:8; 10:9-13.
A. Tara: COMING SOON
Q. Where did you grow up?A. We both lived the majority of our childhood and adult lives, prior to moving into ministry, in Northwest Arkansas. Bryan grew up in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, a bustling community of about 2000 people, home of the Prairie Grove Tigers. Tara grew up in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the home of the Arkansas Razorbacks and Fayetteville (Purple) Bulldogs.
Q. What do you want to be when you grow up?A. We both look forward to the day when we hear this: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Beyond that, we are along for His ride.Q. Will you have more children?A. Anything is possible.
